Tile designer Erin Adams refers
to movies, books and home decor dating back to the 1940s for inspiration,
looking to retro designs she can intertwine with her own style. The resulting
creations are a marriage of different materials—such as recycled aluminum and
glass used in her latest line, Luna—that are used to create distinctive mosaic
surfaces. Adams currently offers four collections, ranging from modern graphics
and basketweave prints to soft floral and bamboo patterns, all of which are
available through Ann Sacks. Luna in aluminum (shown) starts at $105 per square
foot; it is also offered in brass starting at $171.
